How does it work?
Sellers of used building materials place online classified ads for free. Buyers search the classifieds for what they are looking to buy. The ad has the contact information of the person selling, and the two connect. It can work in the reverse as well. Someone can place an ad seeking an item. It’s just like the newspaper classifieds, only it’s free.
What will I find listed?
Users list anything generated by residential and commercial construction that is of value and reusable. You’ll find everything from wood flooring and stained glass windows, to fill dirt.
Where do the buyers and sellers come from?
The seller and the buyer can be from just about anywhere. For convenience, users can sort the listings by zip code or by state to narrow their search.
Is it easy to use?
Anybody can search the listings. If you want to place a classified ad, just become a member by registering and follow the instructions. It’s very easy. Just type in what you want to say about your items. You can also attach a picture! And you can always contact us if you need help.

Builder2builder markets the website to builders and tradesmen, architects and designers, salvage stores and do-it-yourselfers. We are also building strong affiliations with green and building associations. And of course we’d appreciate you spreading the word!
Why did you build the site?
We want to help reduce waste by promoting the reuse of useable materials generated by the construction process. We hope by making it easy and financially beneficial for people to do this, it will happen.
And what do you get out of it?
One day, when there is enough traffic on the site, it will be a very efficient place for businesses to advertise and reach the building community. We’ll charge for this service – but we intend to make advertising on builder2builder much less expensive than any print or broadcast advertising option – and much more targeted.
